In a world full of professional movie critics, nobody does it quite like Santhosh Varkey. Believe it or not, this man holds an engineering degree and has claimed to be pursuing a PhD in Philosophy. Yet, he chose the noble path of standing outside Kerala movie theaters and yelling movie reviews at YouTube microphones.
He catapulted to internet immortality on the opening day of Mohanlal’s film Aaraattu. Bursting out of the theater with euphoric energy, he screamed the legendary phrase: “Lalettan Aaradukayaanu!” (Lalettan is on a rampage!). The clip went universally viral, earning him the permanent title of Aarattannan. Since then, he has become the unofficial mascot of Malayalam troll pages and YouTube reaction channels.

- The Nithya Menen Obsession: Aarattannan spent years publicly declaring his one-sided, relentless love for actress Nithya Menen, completely unprompted. It got so extreme that Nithya Menen herself had to address it in interviews, revealing that he had been pestering her and her family for over half a decade!
